fun at hospital...not!

sorry i've been absent for the past few days, but i had a run in with hospital. well. i had to run in to hospital, to be more accurate.  i threw my back out and pinched a nerve somehow and have been on bed rest and using a tens unit to alleviate the pain (not to mention some heavy pain meds) and to help it to heal.  this means that i've had limited internet access other than through my android. i'm home now and taking it slow and easy, so hope to be back online more regularly soon. i've been missing my online friends and creative outlets! at least now i get to lay in bed and stitch for a few days!

  2. I'm SO sorry to hear about this! Been there, done that...the whole 9 yards. My tens unit is tucked on the top shelf of my closet waiting (for a long time I hope) to be needed again. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Joe, I am so sorry about your pain. If the tens unit doesn't help, try trigger point injections. I have nasty nerves in my neck and the injections have helped. I hope you are able to do some stitching to take your mind off the pain. Hugs and wishes for a speedy recovery.

  7. Hi Joe - been there now and then - knees bent, feet flat on bed/floor/sofa/other flat comfortable surface, and plenty of time for reading I hope. But crikey it's boring after a while isn't it? Hope you recover well and thoroughly, don't push it if you don't have to ;-) ..... I think blogger agrees, it offered miscarap as verification - you've obviously had one!!

  10. Joe, glad you're home now and hope you'll be feeling better really soon. Today in a store I saw a wonderful blue buddha for healing and although I don't actually own one...I send it to you from my mind and prayers.

  16. Gosh, is this catchy? Been dealing with back pain too. I've had probes and needles stuck from my back on down to my left leg this week to check for nerve damage. Haven't been sleeping well as I can't seem to find a good position. Been a pill popper lately too!

  18. Oh I know that pain. The kind that makes you want to pass out. I had a year of wearing a back truss and lying with knees supported with pillows and all the rest. Feel better soon!
