I am so sorry Joe, for the loss of your friends....it's so hard. Our 'little girl' was put to sleep over a year ago. We miss her still. She has started visiting us in our dreams, which is such a comfort.
Oh Joe! My heart is breaking for you. I have lost two companions and my Dad in the past year, so I know how difficult this time is for you. I still see my fur pals in their favorite spots. The eyes or brain playing tricks. Take care and know that I am sending you hugs and wishes for heart healing. (I swore no more fur-panions. Then a grey calico appeared on a winter's night. She opened my closed heart and helped me heal. She has the best traits of those who passed before her and a few funny ones of her own. Keep your heart open to love. )
I'm so sorry for your loss! I watch your blog sometimes and while I'm sitting in Sweden your Saint always made me smile when I saw the picture. I lost my Newfoundland dog on friday... I feel for you. Katla
