the quiet blush of a hesitant spring
i find myself moving more slowly these days. more deliberately. with a deeper sense of presence. is it the hesitant arrival of spring, gently pulling my awareness out of winter's slumber? whatever the reason, my attention is more closely focused on each breath. each stitch. each moment. there is a connection between my quiet heart and this sleeping rabbit. an anticipation. . .
next to summon the clouds. . .

I love the title of the post... and the curled rabbit. We finally got a deluge of rain the last few days, and with it cool weather. The forest is now sparkling green from a few days of wet. Happy slowing!
ReplyDeletei absolutely adore the forest after the rain!
Deletesuch peace when one can slow down and focus in the moment/s.
ReplyDeleteeach one as it appears . . .
thank you for sharing this gentle quiet and enjoy what the clouds have to show you.

the trick is learning to appreciate each moment, no matter what it brings. or where.
Deletethink you've earned some slow time, you seem to have been very busy recently. Your lovely tender little rabbit reminds me of the cats, all curled up in their baskets with "please ..... do not disturb" in cat thought bubbles above their heads, doing their best Zen cat impressions!
ReplyDeletethank you, kat...though i think my "slow time" is only in each moment. my work hours are actually growing "worse"...but i'm seeking peace even in their chaos.
Deleteah, the moon
ReplyDeletePerfect peace! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this piece, Joe, and the comparison of a quiet heart to a sleeping rabbit.
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful little rabbit again...so quiet, so serene. I LOVE this Joe.
